This Friday evening Brouckerque hosted the Executive Board Meeting of the Institut de la Langue Régionale Flamande / Akademie voor Nuuze Vlaemsche Taele.

During the meeting the participants deplored the fact that the regional services of the Department for Education hadn’t replaced the West Flemish teacher who had retired of late. They also talked about the Defender of Rights to whom the Institut de la Langue Régionale Flamande / Akademie voor Nuuze Vlaemsche Taele referred a case of language discrimination in curricula.

The participants also took the opportunity to congratulate teachers for their successful student enrolments and to rejoice about the development of bilingual place names across the region.
